Use the recommended strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate ice cream or substitute any of these flavors with your favorites. Specialize the toppings to your tastes or use whipped topping, chopped strawberries, hot fudge topping, nuts, and cherries. Swirled Meringues with Blueberry Sauce A light and refreshing dessert is perfect for summertime. These sweet treats will satisfy your sweet tooth without weighing you down. Not a blueberry fan? Use a different fruit like strawberries or peaches. Time Management Tips-image

Time is one of those things we never seem to have enough of, but with a few small adjustments in our habits and schedule, we can make room for more things that bring joy and fulfillment to our lives in our apartments or out and about in Williamsville, NY. Time Management Tips Map out your schedule. Having a schedule for a regular day or week may seem excessive, but figuring out what you have on your plate is the first step to accomplishing all you need to accomplish stress-free. Stay aware of your deadlines, responsibilities, and habits by putting them down on paper (or on your phone). Then you can have a visual for where you can fit in other things and move tasks around to accommodate unexpected happenings Prioritize getting a good night’s sleep. Going to bed and waking up earlier than you’re used to may seem like you’re cutting into valuable time you need in the evening to do whatever you usually do (whether that’s finishing up on late-night assignments or catching up on social media), but prioritizing sleep will give you the energy you need to wake up on the right side of the bed each day. And having a good morning is an important way to conquer your tasks efficiently. This will ultimately open up more time in your schedule, so do what you need to do to get to sleep on time. Include fun and relaxation time in your schedule. A key to managing your time and getting things done is to not wear yourself out. You could, hypothetically, schedule all sorts of tasks and to-do list items into every minute of your day, but that’s just going to stress you out, especially when you can’t accomplish everything. So learn to say no to tasks that aren’t as important as the ones you have on your plate. Delegate certain recurring tasks to certain days of the week so you can focus on accomplishing that when the day comes and then put it out of your mind when the time for that activity is up. This will help you work smarter and harder when it’s necessary, which keeps your head clear for managing the rest of your time. And just as you should prioritize sleep for your physical and emotional well-being, you should prioritize fun and relaxation, too. You deserve a break, so take it easy and know that you can handle it! What are your best time management tips? Host a Barbeque at Renaissance Place-image

May is National BBQ Month, and Renaissance Place Apartments makes celebrating easy! Head to our picnic area with charcoal grills to make the most of the warmer days just steps from your apartment in Williamsville, NY. Try these tips for throwing a successful barbeque for Memorial Day (or any day this month!). Plan it out. Having a set plan and even a bit of an agenda for the day of your barbeque will make planning and executing your ideas easier for you and more stress-free for your guests. Set a date now and reserve the area or find a time when it will most likely be free and clearly communicate your thoughts with your guests so they can have plenty of time to make time for it. Invitations Whether you are inviting a few close friends or planning a big blowout, e-invitations make it easy. We like the variety you can find at Punchbowl . When you are doing the invitations is a good time to ask about food allergies and preferences. When you are planning your guest list, take care to make sure that everyone you invite will know a few other people who will be there. Be creative with the food. Juicy hamburgers and perfectly grilled hot dogs are always sure to hit the spot, but if you want to mix things up a bit, try any of these 22 unexpected foods to make on the grill . They are sure to please vegetarians and even those with the highest taste. Comfort Items Just as much as plates, napkins, silverware, and drinks shouldn’t be forgotten, items like blankets and bug repellant are must-haves if you’ll be eating outside — especially if you’ll be outside as the weather cools and the bugs come out. Pack them up as soon as possible so you don’t forget! Plan a Few Activities Activities are great for keeping the energy high when people are feeling lethargic from the heat and from being filled with good food. Plan a couple of activities for before or after the food is served. Games like Capture the Flag, Kick the Can, frisbee, or catch go over well and can be great ways to work off the food. We hope you are able to take time out for a barbecue this month! Thanks for stopping by and reading our post today!

Celebrating Memorial Day in Williamsville-image

Memorial Day is coming up at the end of the month. Despite evidence to the contrary, it is not just about getting together with friends for a barbeque. Memorial Day, which used to be called Decoration Day, dates back to the 1860s. It was originally created as a way to honor the war dead of the American Civil War, which claimed more lives than any conflict in U.S. history to date. Several years after the war, General John A. Logan, a leader for a Civil War veterans organization, called for a nationwide day of remembrance for the purpose of “strewing with flowers, or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country. . . . and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village and hamlet churchyard in the land.” Subsequently, the first nationwide day of remembrance was set for the 30th of May, 1868, and over 5,000 participants decorated the graves of 20,000 Union and Confederate soldiers buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Later, Decoration Day came to honor all veterans of all wars, and the name and date of the observance were changed, becoming Memorial Day. In 1971 the date changed to the last Monday in May and it became an official federal holiday. Each year on Memorial Day, a national moment of remembrance takes place at 3:00 p.m. local time wherever you happen to be. Today, all across America, Memorial Day is observed with speeches and parades. Here in New York, Williamsville will be holding a Memorial Day parade, May 27 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM according to the Williamsville Business Association Facebook Page .  According to the page, the parade begins at the high school and makes its way down in front of Village Hall. Memorial Day also unofficially marks the beginning of summer, and another American hallmark, the backyard barbeque, is often the kickoff for summertime activities. Perhaps you can get together with friends and plan a “beginning of the summer” barbeque — we will be sharing tips for hosting a barbeque in our next post. Thanks for taking time out to read The Renaissance Place Apartments Blog today. Make plans now to be a part of an awesome weekend.

To receive this distinction, the apartment community needs to have a minimum of 12 online reviews and a score of 89 or higher for the Online Reputation Assessment. Renaissance Place Apartments weighed in with a 99 point score based on the reviews received throughout the year. According to a recent Luxury Apts WNY press release “The Elite 1% ORA™ Power Ranking is an annual ranking developed by J Turner Research based on a monthly online reputation research of over 101,000 apartments, across 19+ review sites and Internet Listing Services (ILSs). We appreciate the vote of confidence we’ve received as evidenced by this award, and we will continue to make residents’ needs a priority. In parting, we’d like to share some of the comments we’ve received via reviews: “This is a great community. We love the staff, maintenance, and the people who live here. It is very quiet even though we are surrounded by lots of businesses. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and schools. Great area to live. The girls in the office are so friendly and helpful. Don't want to move from here.” “My family arrived at Renaissance Place in 2003. The location of the complex is perfect from any point of view. Close to any shopping carrier like Target, Wegmans, Walmart and small shopping mall. The arrangement of the complex is the best for the area. During the 15 years that my family has spent here, our impression from the complex itself, the neighborhood and the staff have been more [than] perfect...” Thank you for making Renaissance Place Apartments your home here in Williamsville, NY.
